Norway's DJEVEL Post Two New Demo Songs Online

Norwegian black metal act DJEVEL (norwegian for "devil"), who recently signed with Aftermath Music, have posted two rawmix versions of tracks from their debut album, Dødssanger, to be released on June 13th.

Aftermath Music previously stated, "We are very stoked to add this band to the roster of Aftermath Music, being a band that has the capability and dedication to bring out the very best in a, for the moment, rather bleak black metal scene. The preceeding band LJA ofcourse is a clear guideline to the sound of Djevel, still with a different line-up, taking it one step further."
Djevel was formed in June, 2009 when T.Ciekals decided that Ljå would not carry on as he wanted the band to do. With a lot of material already composed for the next Ljå album he decided to put all this and more into Djevel.
Initially Djevel was supposed to be a one man act, but has slowly grown into something close to a band. The band are now made up of T.Ciekals, who writes all the music and lyrics, and Erlend (lead vocals - KVELERTAK). Bringing their diabolical talents to the recording are also Mannevond (bass - KOLDBRANN, URGEHAL), and Anders (drums).
The debut album, Dødssanger, was recorded in March and will be released later this spring/summer, on both CD and vinyl format. Cover art is done by T.Ciekals and Truls Espedal, known for his work wih ENSLAVED.
Expect a devilish Norwegian outburst infected with a melodic darkness.
