OPETH Frontman Mikael Åkerfeldt Praises British Progressive Rock Outfit COMUS

OPETH frontman Mikael Åkerfeldt has issued the following update:"
"Just an 'official' thank you to the people from COMUS!I had both Roger Wooton and Bobbie Watson come see us in London and it's still surreal that I "know" them a little. Then Colin Pearson came to the Berlin show and handed me a original 7" single of theirs. A rare affair called 'Diana' from 1971. It was his own copy that he had to purchase as it was released. I was just in AWE! We sat and talked for a good hour and a half...what a nice bloke he is! He said the single was a collective 'thanks' to me for having plugged their band all these years. And yes I am guilty of that. And I will never stop!
Comus have been offered to do a few shows out of which I can't really say much as they're not been officially announced. But I advice all and any to go and see this remarkable band if you get the chance.
Listening to them now I got reminded how fantastic they are and how much of a masterpiece the First Utterance (1971) album is. Can't wait to hear the new material....Out Of The Coma....indeed!!!
OK, guys, give this band a listen...you won't regret it! And thanks again to the Comus people. I'm a fan for life!"
