Steve Asheim, legendary drummer of ORDER OF ENNEAD and DEICIDE is the featured artist on the cover of issue number 12 of Sick Drummer Magazine. In an absolutely massive 11 page feature, Asheim reveals some of the secrets to his longevity in extreme drumming, the latest happenings in Deicide and how the artwork for the newest Order Of Ennead album, An Examination Of Being, was conceived:

SDM: Tell us about the cover art for Order of Ennead's An Examination of Being. Were you being the concept?

Steve: "No, I was not behind the art concept. In fact, I think it was one of those things where we kind of just told the artist (who is the drummer from Sludge, by the way) what the title of the record was gonna be and let him do what he perceived. We ended up being happy with it. I did the concept for the first record and everyone bitched and moaned it was too boring, so I said, fine, let’s do it your way. It came out pretty well. Art is funny like that, it’s all about perception. The eye of the beholder, as they say."
