PETER CRISS Dedicates The Drum Legend Award To Late Manager Bill Aucoin; Video Posted

In the video footage below, PETER CRISS, the original drummer of KISS, is inducted into the Guitar Center Drum Hall of Fame on January 14th, in Los Angeles, CA at Club Nokia, receiving the award in honor of late Manager, Bill Aucoin.

Criss, as well as percussionist TERRY BOZZIO (FRANK ZAPPA, MISSING PERSONS), received The Drum Legend awards at Guitar Center's 23rd Annual Drum-Off , the nationwide search for the next great undiscovered drummer.

As previously reported, drummer Mike Portnoy (ADRENALINE MOB, ex-DREAM THEATER) teamed up with MR. BIG bassist Billy Sheehan, BLACK COUNTRY COMMUNION/ex-Dream Theater keboardist Derek Shrerinian, and guitarist Tony MacAlpine on January 14th for a performance at the Guitar Center's Drum-Off. Footage of their performance is available below:

According to an update from Portnoy, he recently shot a DVD for The Drum Channel with Sheehan, Sherinian and MacAlpine. Details of the production will be revealed soon. Watch Portnoy's official Facebook page for updates.
