POWER QUEST took stage 2 at Hammerfest in Wales on April 24th by storm introducing recently joined bass player Oliver Holzwarth (BLIND GUARDIAN) to the audience. Despite the late hour of this headlining slot, a huge crowd came to see the new line up.
Power Quest keyboardist and founder member Steve Williams sums it up: “We are very pleased with the feedback, interview requests and the hype that’s been happening since Hammerfest. It’s a shame our next live show won’t be before September, but we are discussing European support options right now, so maybe we’ll be out even before, fingers crossed!”
Oliver adds: ”Great experience to be out there with the boys for the first time. And the crowd went crazy, so I am glad about my decision to work with one of the most talented and kick ass Power Metal bands in the world.”
According to a press release, "Power Quest are back to work on the production of their new album. The new material is going to follow the route of latest successful release Master Of Illusion and the emphasis will once more be on the heavy sounding guitars. The band is going to record some demos over the summer months and will then take the decision with partner Napalm Records as to whether the release will see light of the day on 2009 or 2010. Their next live appearance will be in September at Prog Power Festival Atlanta, US and Metalfest UK."
