French Canadian extreme folk metal act PROFUGUS MORTIS have checked in with the following update:

"Well, it’s finally time for a long overdue update.

Ontario Tour: Wow, OK, first of all I guess we have some explaining to do for all the canceled shows. To sum it all up really quick .......bars closed, power went out, promoters never showed up .... Good times . So to Windsor , London and St. Catharines, we promise we’ll make it up to you guys as soon as we can (probably in the spring).

The tour all in all was a great experience. We sure as hell know what NOT to do and who NOT to work with for next time. We got to meet up with old friends, make new ones, get kicked out of college residences, drink tons of beer (tour should have been renamed the 'Hanging out at the Bovine Sex Club in Toronto, Ontario Tour. I wanna take this time to shout out some people

Adam in Belleville for putting on the show and giving us an awesome place to crash at. Dave in sudbury for TRYING to get us an awesome place to crash and for having a hot girlfriend. Mark of WOLVEN ANCESTRY for putting on a fantastically fun show in Sudbury. Hope in Hamilton for letting us crash at her place. Noel at Inertia Entertainment in Toronto for putting us on with THERION and for being a wicked cool guy. Therion / AESMA DEVA for being wicked awesome people. Jeff aka Necro of ASH LEE BLADE for letting us crash at his place for 2 days while we tried to figure shit out. Brandon in St. Catharines for putting us up and bringing us to Sharkeys Bar. Jeka in Toronto for letting us crash at his awesome pad, and Brent from NoC for organizing the tour

Now our sights are set to the future, the future being December 1st in Montreal where we do our first local headlining show in almost two years . This is going to be an amazing night so don’t miss out.

New Record: That’s right we are preparing a new record . By some miracle (by miracle I mean Jo our keyboardist is a MACHINE!!!!). We have about 9 new songs 'shit tracked.' We will be spending the winter refining these songs into an album that will SLAY ..S.I.B . You’ve already got a small taste with 'In time' but I can assure you that the best is yet to come. I’ve never been so excited about new material before .
