QUEENSRŸCHE have announced a special night to benefit Japan. The event will take place at the Hard Rock Cafe in Seattle, WA on April 16th at 8 PM EST.

The night will kick off with an introduction to the third vintage of Insania wine, a collaboration between Queensrÿche vocalist Geoff Tate and Three Rivers Winery. Guests can purchase and enjoy the wine and have Geoff autograph the bottle. Before the night is over, the band will take the stage and perform an acoustic set of their favourite songs.

Proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the relief efforts in Japan. Tickets are $20 advance and $30 at doors. Age 21 and over only. To order tickets go here.

As previously reported, Queensrÿche have announced that their new album will be called Dedicated To Chaos, and it will be released this summer. It’s the band’s first effort for its new label, Roadrunner Records/Loud & Proud.

The band – featuring Geoff Tate, Michael Wilton, Eddie Jackson, Scott Rockenfield and Parker Lundgren - is currently planning a tour in support of the new opus, which was recorded in its native Seattle. Tour dates and information will be released when available.

“Modern life moves fast,” commented frontman Geoff Tate about the album. “Plug into the rhythm of the now with our 12th studio album, Dedicated To Chaos. It’s a clash and slash of musical experimentation anchored by the pulse of digital code.”

He did issue one suggestion to listeners as well, saying: “Enjoy – headphones are a must.”

The band is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year and Dedicated To Chaos marks a new chapter in Queensrÿche’s already impressive history that fans will not want to miss. And the chaos has just begun.

BraveWords.com spoke to frontman Geoff Tate late last year about the album. "It will be a very strong collection of songs. The topic of the album is all over the place. There's a lot of different subjects we tackle. The sound and the writing direction is probably more focused on rhythm than any of our records have been. Scott (Rockenfield; drums) and Eddie (Jackson; bass) are contributing a lot to the composition of this record, so there's a lot of focus on rhythm structure and keeping things very rhythmatic and moving. It's got a lot of very intricate bass/drum work on it that perhaps hasn't been featured on earlier albums. Therefore it's going to have a very modern sound to it. Music these days, outside of hard rock and metal, is really rhythm-oriented. There's a lot of movement to it. So we're kind of going with that as a feature on this record. Still, there's a lot of interesting guitar work as we try to push the guitar into different areas as well, while trying to stay away from the bone-head stuff like the chunk-chunk-chunk kind of thing. We're using the guitars in a more melodic sense. The band is producing it with Kelly Gray, our longtime friend and engineer (and former guitarist)."

In the interview above, Tate talks in depth about his new movie, The Burningmoore Incident, as well as the upcoming Queensrÿche album.

Three new film clips from 'The Burningmoore Incident' have also appeared on YouTube including an accounting of the 2005 Parrish family murders by Homicide Detective, Bruce Hallenbach that can be found below:

There is also some amateur footage taken on the night of the March, 2010 incident below:

A new teaser/trailer can be found below (watch for the close up of Geoff and his sinister stare as he butchers someone at the end of the trailer):

Long time admirers of Geoff’s onstage theatrics and commanding presence, Fires at Midnight Films, found him to be a perfect fit as the film’s unstoppable killing machine. The film focuses on the murderous rampage that took place in March of 2010, in Bayside Queens, as the construction team of Cole Contracting were being video taped by multiple cameras on the first day of what was to be a home makeover reality show. By sundown the house was a bloody scene of carnage.

Tate has also contributed an exclusive new track for the film.

About acting, Tate told BraveWords.com recently: "Well, you know, the older you get, too, you want to try different things in life. You do one thing and you do it well, and that’s good, satisfying. There’s other things that you’re interested in that you want to try your hand at and see how you do. I really enjoyed acting (in The Burningmoore Incident) and provided some music for it as well. And I’ve got several offers right now to do other films this year coming out, and I just saw Dee Snider (TWISTED SISTER) perform in the Broadway show called Rock of Ages. And he was great, he was absolutely stunning in the role. And I was talking to him afterwards and he said, 'well the first week I was doing it I was just second-guessing myself I was so nervous. I haven’t had butterflies in my stomach before a performance in twenty-five years so I didn’t really know what was happening to me.' And he added, 'I’m really glad I tried doing something different and got out of my niche and stretched out.' And I have to agree with him. I think it’s a great thing to try different things and get out of doing the things you always do.”
