QUIET RIOT To Record New Album This Summer; One Track To Feature Original Singer KEVIN DUBROW

Guesting on The Rock N' Roll & Coffee Show, bass legend Rudy Sarzo revealed that Quiet Riot will begin working on a new album this summer. On top of that, one of the songs on the album will feature founding vocalist Kevin DuBrow on one track. DuBrow passed away in November 2007 due to an accidental cocaine overdose.

Check out the interview below.

Sarzo: "We've got a few tracks already done. A lot of the tracks have (late drummer) Frankie (Banali) playing on it. As a matter of fact, we have one with Kevin singing. Every time I hear it, I get chills. Actually, it's turning into my favorite Quiet Riot song that I've ever recorded with the band. There's a certain organic element about it, but the way that it actually came about, it's really unique."

The Classic Metal Show's Chris Akin recently spoke with Quiet Riot vocalist, Jizzy Pearl, who indicated not only that the current lineup will be releasing "new music", but some of it will be reworked versions of the songs he did with them on the 10 album, that was released and then pulled.

Chris Akin: Do you think the music that you recorded previously with Quiet Riot that got pulled will find it's way back to being out there?

Jizzy Pearl: "It's been revamped. Basically, Frankie's drum tracks have been... you know that game "Operation" where you take the tweezers? We pulled his drum tracks and have written all new music for that. So yeah, yeah. There's new music. Hopefully people will dig it. We'll see."
