RATT Frontman STEPHEN PEARCY Had Three-A-Day Groupie Quota - "I Gotta Have Breakfast, Lunch And Dinner"
May 8, 2013, 11 years ago
In a new interview with FOX News, RATT frontman STEPHEN PEARCY discusses his new memoir, Sex, Drugs, Ratt & Roll: My Life In Rock, available now via Simon & Schuster imprint Gallery Books. An excerpt from the interview follows:
Q: You write that you thought hair-metal wouldn’t last forever.
A: "When we first heard our song on the radio Robbin (Crosby, guitarist) and I said, ‘We’re going to go for this,’ and we didn’t think it would last a year or two. But you know what? We’re still doing shows, we’re still making records. Things haven’t changed much except we’re older, wiser, we have children."
Q: You had a pretty wild ride, a lot of groupies.
A: "I just kind of gave myself a quota. I gotta have breakfast, lunch and dinner."
Q: So you had three different women every day?
A: "Yeah that’s pretty much what I tried to make myself accustomed to. The thing is back then it wasn’t even a thought. It could have been four times a day. It could have been once. I just went for it back then. I said, ‘I’m going to have a good time'."
