hot flashes news rebel meets rebel

Website www.VINNIEandDIME.com, has been updated with the following message from Videobob (Promotions, Big Vin Records). The update features details on the first single from REBEL MEETS REBEL, the project featuring singer David Allan Coe and the Cowboys From Hell (late guitar legend "Dimebag" Darrell, drummer Vinnie Paul and bassist Rex Brown).

Says Videobob: "I would like to make the following announcement about "fan pages", etc.

There are currently only two official MySpace pages that represent Vinnie Paul, and his label Big Vin Records. They are: http://www.myspace.com/bigvinrecords and http://www.myspace.com/rebelmeetsrebel

It is true that we also own: http://www.myspace.com/bigvinrecordlabel.... simply because it was a "fan page" that someone else made that we were forced to acquire from them. (We do not use this as a home page - do not add yourself to it) We love and appreciate our fans, and know that many of you want to show your dedication to PANTERA, DAMAGEPLAN, Vinnie and the memory of Dimebag and we encourage you to do that! This show of support is our driving force! However, if you decide to make a fan page or to represent us on the web it is important that you do NOT set your page up in a way that makes it looks as though you ARE us. There have been a lot of pages set up recently using official trademarked names and to someone who does not know any better they might think that your fan page is an official page.

This is something our parent label (Fontana/Universal) will not tolerate. When these things are noticed it is sent to the legal department who then contacts myspace, who then cancels your account and bans you. We don't want this to happen. So please, when making your fan page please do it under your OWN name and not one of ours. Do not use any part of our trademarked names in the title. We are liberal about letting people use our images, music, videos, logos and other things where as other bands might go after the fans... we don't. However, there are "fans" who are out there making T-Shirts, patches, stickers, etc. and are profiting off the legacy of Dime. Some of these people claim to be donating the profits to charity, but even still are using the activity to gain personal notoriety and fame, and to get attention for themselves or their own band.

Vinnie, Rita and the others have turned a blind eye to this stuff simply because they are gracious to their fans and don't want to be confrontational. But the truth is that there are those out there who may be fans, but are pirates none the less with these activities. These people are noted and records are kept of their activities.

Vinnie is working hard to bring you all of Dime's last works, starting with Rebel Meets Rebel, which is something that was near and dear to Dime's heart and always wanted to finish and put out as a release. It is sad that he never got to see it happen but his loving brother is going to make sure it will happen no matter the cost. Simultaneously, DimeVision the DVD will come out and complete the series of home videos that Dime has put out over the years. No true fan should be without it!

Rita is working hard to get Dime Hardware up and going, that will feed the need for shirts, hats and other goodies the fans want to wear to show their respect.

I promise to keep all of you out there updated as things happen at BVR, such as the release of the single 'Nothin' To Lose' which will be hitting radio stations March 6th. I just finished the artwork for the single yesterday and it is being printed as we speak. This will be the lead in for the nationwide release on May 2nd.

We will also be having a mega huge CD release party at a secret location in Dallas, to be revealed at the last minute. Vinnie (and some other special guests) will be on hand to sign copies of the CD and play it in it's entirety for the first time in public.

I will keep you all posted.

Thanks for taking the time to read all this!"
