RTTNews reports:

Police in New Zealand's capital city of Wellington arrested 50 fans for drunk and disorderly conduct at AC/DC's performance on Saturday night. The show, which took place at the city's Westpac Stadium, came on the eve of AC/DC's first ever Grammy win and is part of the band's first tour in more than a decade.

The Aussie rockers will hit Australia in February and Japan in March, before kicking off the U.S. leg of their Black Ice tour at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on April 9th.

Though only nine of the arrests took place during the show, six different ambulances were called to assist fans suffering from alcohol or drug related symptoms. According to police inspector Mike Coleman, this isn't terribly unusual for a summer night in Wellington.

In an interview with the New Zealand Herald, Coleman explained that the 50 arrests were "not bad, [for] a full moon and a nice hot night," and also stated that 30 to 40 arrests are normal for a Saturday.
