Report: GAAHL Confident About Outcome Of GORGOROTH Trial; Video Interview Available
December 29, 2008, 15 years ago
Holland's FaceCulture reports:
Since 2007 the Norwegian black metal band GORGOROTH has been on a hiatus because of an internal strife between founder and guitarist Infernus and frontman Gaahl and bassist King. Both parties want to continue under the name Gorgoroth and have done so, with different members.
A court will decide in January who has the legal rights to the name. Gaahl is confident about the outcome of the trial. "It's me and King who have been shaping this creature for the last eight years. Otherwise it would have been dead and buried a long time ago."
He has not spoken to Infernus since the break. "I never had a close relationship with him. We are two different worlds. Infernus is the opposite of me. He has a lot of idols."
