REQUIEM - Studio Diary Part 8 Available
December 13, 2010, 13 years ago
Swiss death metallers REQUIEM re-entered Stage One Studio in Buehne/Borgentreich, Germany on December 6th and will remain there until December 23rd with acclaimed producer Andy Classen (LEGION OF THE DAMNED, DEW-SCENTED, DISBELIEF, KRISIUN and many more), recording their new album, Within Darkened Disorder.
The band have issued Studio Diary Part 8, which reads as follows: "All guitar recordings are done. Phil played all parts for the final 4 songs. As I mentioned before the guitar sound is over the top killer! As soon as he moves his stuff out of the recording room I'll move in with my bass equipment. This time I'll use Spector Basses exclusively due to the support PJ Rubal of Spector Basses USA provided. Thanks for that again. These basses are armed with high power EMG PUs and Spector's own higly acclaimed electronics. In addition the SansAmp RBI pre-amp will be involved to capture the deep tones for our new album. So we'll see more tomorrow after we soundchecked and decided what kind of sound we'll use finally. Pictures are on the way as soon as my damned laptop will work again... so what...shit happens.
Cheers to you all, take care, check our blog tomorrow for another update."
The new album will be released in early 2011 via an undisclosed German label. Within Darkened Disorder will feature the following ten tracks:
'Echoes Of War'
'Feed The Greed'
'The Plague Without A Face'
'I Am Legion'
'Solemn Sacrifice'
'Within Darkened Disorder'
'Vicious Deception'
'Purified In Flames'
'Symbol Of Nine'
'Omnivore'
The cover artwork was created by Dan Seagrave (MORBID ANGEL, MALEVOLENT CREATION, SUFFOCATION,PESTILENCE, BENEDICTION and many more).
Vocalist Michi Kuster left Requiem in February this year "due to family reasons." The band has since decided to carry on with a new line-up.
