Chicago's RISE AGAINST participated in METALLICA's Orion Music + More festival which took place in Detroit, MI at Belle Isle Park on June 8th and 9th. The band's appearance has spawned a live video for 'Lanterns', a bonus track from its last studio album, Endgame. The webisode also includes a brief commentary from band members at the beginning of the piece.

"When it occurred to us just how many of our songs had slipped through the cracks and never ended up on full lengths, we decided it was about damn time to compile for our fans who might want to check them out," stated Rise Against about their newly released Long Forgotten Songs: B-Sides & Covers 2000 - 2013, out now via Interscope Records. "We gathered up 26 songs and put them on our first B-side record, Long Forgotten Songs."

"The songs on this record are different versions of existing Rise Against songs, covers, or originals that never made it on a record for some reason,"says lead singer Tim McIlrath. "Common wisdom tells us that the reason is that a B-side is just a song not good enough to make the cut. While I think that logic can apply sometimes, I think it's short-sighted. See, the songs that really aren't good enough, you'll never hear. They never make it outside of our practice space. If we finish a song, bring it to the studio, write lyrics, and see it to fruition, then it becomes one of the children that make up a family of songs. If we weren't proud of it, it would have been scrapped along the way."
