Express.co.uk/ is reporting:

Far from the wealth and success he enjoyed with LED ZEPPELIN, Robert Plant reveals that his first band wasn’t quite so successful, meaning he had to resort to being a part-time thief to get through the week.

The 62-year-old singer is now one of the biggest names in rock but it hasn’t always been that way.

While part of blues group BAND OF JOY in the mid-60s with drummer pal John Bonham, Robert says: “We were better at siphoning petrol out of parked cars than we were at pulling crowds.

“We all meant it. We were at the point of starvation and would get involved in thievery.

“We would nick bottles of milk off the doorsteps in Manchester at 5am while tenants were waking up.”
