As previously reported, RushCon 10 will take place in Toronto the weekend of July 16th, with a smaller one-day event in Las Vegas on August 14th. RushCon is the largest North American gathering of fans celebrating the music of Canadian rock band, RUSH. Once a year, fans from all over the world gather for several days of activities such as games, a charity auction featuring rare and collectable band memorabilia, a tribute band concert, important guest speakers from inside the bands' inner circle and much, much more.

Organizers have issued the following update:

"First and foremost, we would like to thank you for your patience as we are planning this year's Con. We are naming this one, aptly, RushCon/Force/Ten. This being our 10th anniversary, combined with the fact that Rush is such a force in our lives, the theme felt appropriate.

Many factors have been weighing on the collective brain of Team RushCon. Tour dates were the big one. We also wanted to properly celebrate our 10th year as a convention, whilst making sure everyone who voiced their suggestions on where to host the Con felt heard. Since we now know when and where Rush is playing this summer, we could finally piece together the foundation of RushCon/Force/Ten. Once we laid our initial groundwork - having the Con in Toronto - we just didn't feel like it was enough. We had so many people hoping that it could be stateside, and easier to get to. We agreed. We knew our audience was big enough that we made the choice to have not one Rush Convention this year, but TWO. That's right. You heard us. TWO. Don't get us wrong, the core event will still be in Toronto. Logistically and spiritually, we didn't think we could take it away from Rush's hometown. It just made sense for us to keep our roots there. Even more so given the timeline of tour date announcements. There will be many amazing events in Toronto that we wouldn't be able to do anywhere else.

But we didn't stop there. We will be having a "mini-con" in Las Vegas, the day of the concert at the MGM Grand. It will be a scaled down version, with some extra special surprises. Our event will end around 5, giving everyone plenty of time to prep for the show. We thought this would be the perfect way to include everyone and really make this a summer to celebrate. A Rush tour, and the 10th year of RushCon. What more could you ask for?"
