RUSH's Alex Lifeson Adds Guitar Track To Hockey Night In Canada Anthem

According to Rushisaband.com, the CBC's Hockey Night In Canada is running a contest to determine a new Hockey Night in Canada Anthem. Out of the 15,000 initial entries there are now only five left. These last five anthems were set to orchestra by award-winning producer Bob Rock (METALLICA) who invited guitarists such as KIM MITCHELL and Alex Lifeson (RUSH) to work with the contestants to add guitar tracks. These five finalists can be voted for online or via test and on Thursday night will be cut from five to two and the winner announced between periods during Saturday's Maple Leafs game. Alex Lifeson added a guitar track to Anthem #3 by elementary school music teacher Grahm McRae titled 'Eleventh Hour'. You can listen to the track at this link or use the player below:
