SAMAEL Return To Black Metal Roots With Above, Release Date Confirmed; New Live Dates Announced

Nuclear Blast Records has confirmed March 6th, 2009, as the official release date for Above, the new release from Swiss metallers SAMAEL.
With the release, Samael are returning to their black metal roots. Frontman Vorph states, "?Above? is a metal album through and through. Some might say the missing link between ?Ceremony Of Opposites? And ?Passage?."
Above is the band's follow-up to their 2007 release Solar Soul.
In January/February, Samael will go on a two treks tour across Europe. The first one with DEICIDE, VADER, DEVIAN and supports; the second one with KEEP OF KALESSIN and NOCTIFERIA.
