SAMMY HAGAR Named Honorary Pace Car Driver For Bashas' Supermarkets 200 At PIR

According to here, Phoenix International Raceway President Bryan R. Sperber has announced that SAMMY HAGAR will serve as the honorary PIR pace car driver before the Bashas' Supermarkets 200 NASCAR Nationwide Series race, set to begin at 6:45 p.m. on April 11.
Hagar will also act as an honorary race official before the SUBWAY Fresh Fit 500 Sprint Cup Series race, set to run under PIR's bright lights at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 12.
As an honorary race official, Hagar will be a part of pre-race activities and will join Sperber on the pre-race stage to greet the 43 Sprint Cup Series drivers as they are introduced prior to the green flag.
Hagar's day will conclude atop the start/finish line, as he will wave the checkered flag over the 2008 SUBWAY Fresh Fit 500 race winner after 312 laps of thrilling Sprint Cup Series racing.
