September 21, 2009, 15 years ago
Swedish metallers SCARPOINT recently entered Stockholm's Fear & Loathing Studio (owned by members of MESHUGGAH and CLAWFINGER) to begin recording their as-yet-untitled second album.
Produced by Jocke Skog of CLAWFINGER and SCARPOINT, the CD is tentatively due in early 2010.
A new studio update from drummer Eric Thyselius reads: "Today, Monday, was really a fun day. We started at 10 in the morning and listen to some songs that we ended last week with. They, with a fresh pair of ears, sound awesome. Henke is doing a really f*cking killer job, taking his voice to a completely new level.
Me and Chris was just chilling today and trying to come up with creative ideas, in between our battle in The Lord Of The Rings flipper game. Zoran have a couple of days off since he was 1½ week, almost every day and night, in the studio.
Things are taking shape and you can start hearing how the record will come out. Jocke has come up with some cool samples and pads that we are using to put a fatness to the whole song.
Tomorrow will continue with the vocals. Only 4 songs left. It's gonna be reeeeally fun!!!
So, as always,
Stay twisted fuckers!!"
