SIN CITY SINNERS And Manager Jason Green Give Back To Cancer Research Benefit - "Life Is A Gift And You Should Never Take It For Granted"
March 12, 2011, 13 years ago
On March 5th, Jason Green, the manager of Las Vegas’ favorite band SIN CITY SINNERS did what fans donated over $3,000 to see; he shaved his head in solidarity with children who have cancer and typically lose their hair during treatment. The effort was made in order to raise critical funds for childhood cancer research.
A benefit the night before helped put Green into 1st place for the most money raised out of 60 people in his event. Special guests jamming that night included Jimmy Crepso (AEROSMITH), Paul Shortino (ROUGH CUTT, QUIET RIOT), Louie Merlino and Ron Mancuso, (BEGGARS & THIEVES), Carol Lyn Liddle (DANGEROUS CURVES), and drum legend Carmine Appice (VANILLA FUDGE, OZZY OSBOURNE).
The shaving, held at Boulder Station in Las Vegas, was attended by approximately 50 fans.
Green comments: “I was touched by this whole experience. I’m just one person who is willing to do a dumb stunt for a great cause. Believe me I can tell you first hand it is better to give then to receive.”
Jason & Team Sin City Sinners were also joined by Local Vegas Komp Radio DJ Big Mex, who raised money and shaved his head for the St Baldrick’s Foundation a volunteer-driven charity committed to funding the most promising research to find cures for childhood cancers and give survivors long and healthy lives. In the US, more children die of childhood cancer than any other disease. The money donated on Jason & Big Mex’s behalf is being used to support childhood cancer research so that all children diagnosed with cancer will have a better chance for a cure.

On April 9th, Green will captain the Sin City Sinners team in a 5k walk to raise money for Cystic Fibrosis Research.
“I have personally found a new calling for my life and it is to help others. Tell the people in your life that you love them and be happy for every day you have with them. Life is a gift and you should never take it for granted.”In addition to managing Sin City Sinners, Green has also written and directed all of their music videos.
