SLAGMAUR Ink Deal With Black Hate Productions
January 14, 2007, 17 years ago
Norwegian black metal band SLAGMAUR have signed to German underground label Black Hate Productions. The three-member band is comprised of General Gribbsphiiser, Wardr and Atselgribb. Commenting on the band's decision to sign with Black Hate, General Gribbsphiiser, the creative mind behind Slagmaur said: “We in Slagmaur feel that Black Hate is the right label for us, mainly because of Black Hate’s ideological views and its dedication to the underground”.
The band describe itself as creating music in which “the sound has been arranged in a distorted audio environment that makes the soundscape appear twisted and sinister. This challenges the listener to really get into the music, and to separate the different elements imbedded in the compositions. Hopefully, this will make the listeners create their own auditory image on a subconscious level, depending on their state of mind."
Due for release in Europe and the USA in February 2007, in both CD and vinyl versions, will be Svin, the band’s first demo, which also launched the 'Three Protocols of Fosen Trilogy'. The band’s own label Nekk Brekk Records will take care of distribution in Norway itself, whilst Black Hate will handle the rest. Songs from the forthcoming release, as well as additional work, can be heard on the bands website www.slagmaur.com.
