SLAUGHTER To Reissue Strappado On Vinyl Through War On Music Records

Canadian death metal/thrash pioneers SLAUGHTER will release a long overdue North American vinyl reissue of the one and only Strappado through Canadian vinyl label War On Music Records. Strappado is an essential classic and cult masterpiece of Canadian metal, long out of print. Slaughter famously included Chuck Shuldiner on guitar for a brief moment in the mid '80's before Shuldiner moved on to form the legendary DEATH. Strappado is often cited as the first real death metal album, ahead of it's time preceeding even Scream Bloody Gore which has often taken that credit.

The War On Music Release will be the first ever vinyl pressing using the remixed/remastered 1986 Fringe audio, and features three additional tracks not included on the original LP. Slaughter were crucial players early Toronto thrash metal scene alongside genre heavyweights ANVIL, RAZOR, SACRIFICE and EXCITER. Guitarist Dave Hewson recently make a guest vocal appearance on the latest Sacrifice record The Ones I Condemn.
