Sweden's SONIC SYNDICATE have issued a short video update (see below) and the following blog update:

"June 3rd, 2010: somewhere outside a McDonald’s, Gothenburg, Sweden...

Day 2 : "Transform And Roll Out"!

Its a scorching hot day here in Gothenburg. This is Sweden's second biggest city but if you were sat here right now with Sonic Syndicate you might just think you were in Los Angeles, California. If the group of rock stars and huge film crew wasn't convincing enough the fact we're pulled up outside a Macdonald's surrounded by a gang Harley Davidson choppers and Nathan is proudly leaning against an opal blue Pontiac Firebird will definitely do it. Its been a long day of shooting already which started in the early hours... so time to stop for some lunch.

Nathan: "Today is all about the big bad ass vehicles! We are cruising around in some wicked metal machines! I've always wanted a Pontiac since I was a kid and this beast is beautiful!... John is making it blatantly obvious he is pleased with his chopper and gang of biker thugs thats been following him around all day like body guards too, ha ha! Vroom, vroom!

Its been really fun charging up and down the motorway here. I've been singing along to 'My Own Life' whilst keeping control of the Pontiac... Its actually a lot harder than it sounds when you consider the power of the engine, trying to sing, act and drive with two cameramen in the car and me not knowing where the fuck I am supposed to be driving to. But. It looks cool as hell so who cares!

We've still got a bunch more shots to do so we need to refuel both the vehicles AND our bodies! The closest place to where we're filming was Macdonalds, this is was a matter of convenience rather than preference! The nearest sushi place was too far away. Thats right, Sonic are still addicted to sushi. Touring Japan only made this worse! But right now Robin is inside checking out what free toy he gets with his Happy Meal and Karin is debating whether or not to get hot wings with her chicken salad. I'm just pretty satisfied to enjoy a cup of coffee in this beautiful sunshine we've been having... Ahhh, finally!"

'My Own Life' can be heard playing low out of the car speakers. As the sun begins to go down in the sky it gives everything a warm orange glow. The band are laughing and joking as Robin throws the salad out of his burger at one of the cameramen. The mood is captured perfectly here and it can seen that once again Sonic have done it with this song that is blatantly going to be the hit of the summer.

Nathan: "Making this video has been altogether a whole new experience from anything we've tried before. Not only is it on a much bigger scale (seeing as we have a "Making of" team following us around with cameras also so we can release all the behind the scenes footage of 'My Own Life') but this is the first time for Sonic where it is all narrative, a video completely based on a plot and story-line rather than the band playing their instruments. As our fans know we always want to try new things and not repeat ourselves. This is definitely going to something very cool for them.

Still to film we have Karin and Rich's scenes. This stuff is going to be really intense and pull on your heartstrings a lot more than the other stories we have got going on in the video so watch out!... Right! The director has got his whip out again so it looks like lunch break is over! Time to kick ass and chew bubblegum! I can't wait for the world to see what Sonic does next so its time to finish this baby!

Catch you later!"
