Sonic Unyon Records has announced that they have licensed the newest albums by German power metal trio RAGE and Greek thrash metal quartet SUICIDAL ANGELS for release in both Canada and the United States. Already out in Europe via Nuclear Blast Records, these two albums will see their North American issue through the Canadian based Sonic Unyon on Tuesday, May 18th. These are two great albums we feel will fit in well with our 2009 metal releases by AUGURY, SACRIFICE and VOIVOD.

"It is an honour to be able to release these two great albums in North America," says Sonic Unyon co-owner Tim Potocic. "Rage is long established as one of Germany's top metal bands, while Suicidal Angels is a new, up-and-coming thrash band that will turn many heads with this fantastic new release."

The Rage album, entitled Strings To A Web, entered the German pop charts at number 27 in its first week of release and has been receiving rave reviews from all major European press. The album will be issued in North America in a special two-disc set that will include as a bonus a high quality DVD including 15 live clips in total. The main part is the Best Of show Rage played at the Wacken Open Air festival 2009, including guest performances of Hansi Kürsch (BLIND GUARDIAN), Schmier (DESTRUCTION) and Jen Majura (BLACK THUNDER LADIES). The DVD also includes four more live clips taken from Masters Of Rock 2009 Festival and a 2009 concert in Sofia, Hungary.

The Suicidal Angels album is entitled Sanctify The Darkness and it is their first for Nuclear Blast. The Greek based, blackened thrash band recently signed a record deal with Nuclear Blast Records after winning a major online band contest organized by the German label in cooperation with Rock The Nation. The North American version of the album will include two bonus music videos for album tracks 'Apokathilosis' and 'Beyond The Laws of Church'.
