STEVE VAI Uploads Live Video “Gravity Storm” From “Lipstick Cam”
May 19, 2014, 10 years ago
Check out this full take of Steve Vai performing "Gravity Storm" as filmed on a “lipstick cam” mounted on the headstock of Steve's guitar. Obviously the sound quality of the camera is not perfect but they wanted to offer the visual performance of this piece from a totally different perspective than usual and the lipstick camera audio is all they have.
Vai recently issued the following update:
"Yes!! It's Android time!! The Vai 360° App is now available on Android through the the Google Play store! Visit this location to download Vai 360° for both Android and iOS."The app features a 360° interactive multi-camera experience of Vai's performance at The Hammersmith Apollo Theater as well as a 360° tour of his personal studio, the Harmony Hut - all guided and narrated by Vai himself.
Each user can direct the show by manipulating Mativision’s multi-camera iOS player, seamlessly choosing to watch from among six different cameras. Users are able to rotate camera angles, use the device’s built-in gyroscope or simply switch to "auto pilot" choosing to enjoy the show without interaction. Along with the cutting-edge interactive content, the Vai360° App also includes continually updated photos of Vai’s guitars, picks and equipment news as well as current information about Vai such as a biography, discography, photos and tour information.
Mativision plans to deliver frequent updates to the app, providing additional exclusive content. The Vai360° App is available on the iOS AppStore now at this location.
