SUICIDE SILENCE has set The Cleansing as the title to their debut album, which is set for a September 18th release. A new track, 'Unanswered', has just been posted on the band's official MySpace page (www.myspace.com/suicidesilence) along with the disc's cover art and tracklisting.
This new effort was recorded with producer John Travis (STATIC-X), while the renowned Tue Madsen (HIMSA, THE HAUNTED) handled mixing duties. A special Pre-Order Package is now available at this location that includes the album for $9.99 as well as a free t-shirt for the first 500 fans to purchase, so act fast.
The artwork for The Cleansing was handled by the legendary Dave McKean (Mirrormask, Sandman comics) and Mitch Lucker (vocals) states: “From the very beginning, we wanted artwork that would separate ourselves from other bands and add some value to the purchase so fans would be less prone to simply download the record. Dave went above and beyond helping us achieve that as he created an entire layout that exceeded our expectations and further enhanced the album artistically.”
The band adheres to no preconceived notions and refuses to be pigeonholed into any specific genre. The juxtaposition of each member's talents creates an explosive yet exciting result that is sure to keep the entire scene on their toes. Expect the boundaries of conventionality to be shattered in 2007 with this dynamic debut release.
