hot flashes news the black dahlia murder

THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER are currently touring as part of the Van's Warped Tour 2013. At the Ventura, CA stop of the tour, Brian Eschbach, Ryan Knight, Max Lavelle, and Alan Cassidy, recorded their parts for 'Into The Everblack', from the band's new album, Everblack.

Audio Hammer producer Mark Lewis comments specifically on Knight's leads on Everblack: "Ryan Knight's leads on Everblack are nothing short of phenomenal. I grew up listening to the best in the era of shred, and I can honestly say these solos rank up there with the best, and beyond. They are not just technical solos in the athletic, "look how fast I can play" sense, there is truly amazing harmonic content going in these leads. Any educated player will realize that the chord changes he is playing over are far more complex than anything you typically find in metal. Mix all that with absolutely world class tone and vibrato, and you really have an amazing piece of work. It does not get better than this."

The Black Dahlia Murder recently unleashed their brand new music video, 'Goat Of Departure'. The video, directed by Ben Mayer, was filmed in the band's hometown of Detroit, MI last month. In typical TBDM fashion, the video is over-the-top and even features the return of a classic TBDM character, and a real, live goat.

Trevor Strnad adds: "It's our pleasure to release our latest exercise in music video stupidity to you all at long last… We'd like to thank Guiness the Goat for penciling us in and all of the rabid TBDM fans for getting wild with us. Press the play button and embrace the glory of the goat!"

The Black Dahlia Murder's new album, Everblack, debuted at #32 on the Billboard Top 200. The album also landed at #3 on the Billboard Current Hard Music Albums chart. Additional chart debuts include #3 on the Billboard Hard Music Albums, #9 on the Billboard Independent Albums, and #30 on the Hits Albums Chart. Additionally, the album peaked at #15 on the iTunes album chart, and #2 on the iTunes Metal chart, second only to living legends BLACK SABBATH.

Internationally, Everblack posted debuts on the Canadian charts at #8 on the Hard Music Chart, #30 on the Top Albums chart, and boasted day of release chart peaks on iTunes at #20 on the overall albums chart, #4 on rock, and #2 on the metal chart. In the UK, the album debuted at #25 on the rock and metal albums chart, and #45 on the independent albums chart. In Germany, Everblack heralds the band's first ever debut on the German Album Charts Top 100 at #91, as well as earning the band debuts on the German Media Markt Top 100 Album Charts at #59, and the Weekend trend charts for Media Control Top 100 at #58.

Trevor Strnad reacts to the success of the album: "We are thrilled that Everblack is being so well received by the fans and we thank them truly from the heart for picking the album up. It's been an amazing ride so far and the new album is our proudest moment yet. THANKS!!"

The album art for Everblack was painted by renowned artist Nick Keller and recording was completed at Audiohammer Studios (lead guitars and vocals), Rustbelt Studios (drums), and Regal Fecal (guitar and bass). Mixing was handled by Jason Suecof and Ryan Williams, mastering was completed by Alan Douches at West Westside. Trevor Strnad's horror-inspired lyrics persist on Everblack, beginning with’ In Hell Is Where She Waits For Me’, a reference to the murder from which the band took for their moniker.
