German heavy rockers THE NEW BLACK have checked in with the following update:

"Hey Blackies & Blackettes,

Now that really kicked ass! We opened up for BLACK LABEL SOCIETY on June 3rd in Hamburg - and everybody knows that this is a band that had quite an influence on TNB. It's not the first time supporting Zakk (read about it here), but this time was even better. All you guys out there really gave us a good time. We went over pretty well, we would say, as this video testifies - including Fludid hailing one of his favorite cities:

The coolest part though was Uncle Zakk walking on stage during our soundcheck, where he grabbed the microphone:

'Hi, I'm Zakk Wylde from Zakk Wylde Records. We want to sign you, we only need all the publishing and all the merchandise. But you will get all the fame and pussy. We will even buy you houses and shit, all in your name, mind you, but your own houses!'

Hahahaha. Hilarious!

The Black Label show later killed. Cool as fuck, heavy as shit, the real deal. Including an Indian head dress. Band and crew treated us fine, so thanks for that! And big thanks to Wizard Promotion to putting us on that show.

Now back to writing new tunes!"

The New Black, who have played with AC/DC, VOLBEAT and JBO in the past, are currently working on a follow-up to their second album, II: Better In Black, expected in early 2013.

In May, The New Black did a quick run with Tieflader, dubbed the United Riff Service tour. On the last show, they finally managed to get the most crucial crew member: The Beertech. This might as well be the best idea ever! Watch below:
