THE NEW BLACK, featuring SINNER guitarist Christof Leim, have issued the following update:

"Dear Blackies and Blackettes!

It’s that time of year again. But actually, we are bewildered. Is it Christmas already? Do they change the day every year? But forget all the stress with getting presents, killing a duck for dinner and getting enough booze in the house to make singing really smooth. It’s too early. Our Christmas is on Jan 23rd, when our debut album comes out. After a lot of work and even more laughs!

C’mon, think about it: We just played our first show in January, wrote more songs, got awarded Demo Of The Month four times in big German magazines, finished the album, wrote music for an American movie, signed a deal, played with Zakk (Wylde), played with BLACK STONE CHERRY, got shows with VOLBEAT confirmed for Jan/Feb, and most importantly felt a lot of love from you guys - and now the thing actually coming out? How cool is that?

This makes us a happy band. If we weren’t tough as nails, we would have a tear in our eyes and a sigh in our black hearts. Nice.

Next month we’ll get you up-to-date with all the info regarding The New Black including tracklist and where to get it cheap and including a shirt. We’ll have a truckload of cool new pics that even we look good in and maybe some moving pictures, too. And we’ll have more shows, that’s for sure.

For us, the album is the Christmas present, and we were so busy that we didn’t get anything else for you… but are not all your most-loved siblings doing the same? Haha. Still we’d sing in your ear as loud as we can: Happy Christmas and rock the sh*t out of ’09! And we have a new show:
