URIAH HEEP Comment On Death Of Former Tech Killed At RADIOHEAD Stage Collapse In Toronto

A stage collapse at Downsview Park in Toronto killed a drum technician and injured three others just prior to RADIOHEAD's sold out show which was to draw 40,000 people this past Sunday, June 17th.
Scott Johnson - who had also worked with British hard rock legends URIAH HEEP - was pronounced dead at the scene after sustaining what police said was a “heavy, crushing injury.”
According to Thestar.com, three inspectors and two engineers from the provincial Ministry of Labour scoured the scene Sunday, but it remained unclear what caused the massive structure to crumble.
Uriah Heep have commented on Johnson's passing: "We were all saddened to hear the news from Canada that Scott Johnson has died while working on the Radiohead tour. Scott had previously been a member of the Uriah Heep technical crew, and we all recognized Scott's consummate professionalism, and cheerful disposition, as he effortlessly dealt with life on the road. We are gutted, and our thoughts are with Scott's friends and family."
