VELVET REVOLVER site BelowEmpty.com report that the band have added a new tour date to their schedule. VR will perform at Seattle's Showbox Music Club on Monday, May 7th. Tickets go on sale through Ticketmaster on Wednesday March 21 at 10 AM (PDT).

Meanwhile, Cleveland's The Plain Dealer have reported that the band were recently in Lava Room Studios in Lakewood Ohio recording b-side material for their new album. Bassist Duff McKagan stated of the studio, "We recorded the song 'Come On, Come In' for the Fantastic Four movie soundtrack here and liked the sounds and the vibe."

As previously reported, while an official release date for Libertad has not been announced, it's rumored to be arriving in stores on June 5th.

Libertad will follow Velvet Revolver's double platinum 2004 debut, Contraband.
