VELVET REVOLVER Say Spring US Tour Is A Go

VELVET REVOLVER will go out on a tour of US clubs and theatres sometime this spring to promote the release of it's new album, Libertad, according to MTV.com. The group is already slated to hit South America in April with AEROSMITH, but whether the US dates will happen before or after that trip is yet to be determined. A full-scale North American tour is also in the works for the fall. The band has completed the recording of Libertad and while an official release date has not been announced, it's rumored to be arriving in stores on June 5th.
Libertad will follow Velvet Revolver's double platinum 2004 debut, Contraband.
Velvet Revolver will also participate in VAN HALEN's induction into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame on March 12th in New York City. Singer Scott Weiland and guitarist Slash will give the induction speech, but it is not entirely clear at the moment whether Velvet Revolver will perform, which members of Van Halen will attend the ceremony and if any of them will perform as well.
