The April 9th release, Outlaw Gentlemen & Shady Ladies is a record that’s rich with stories and characters woven throughout its lyrics. Some are real – like the noble lady outlaw Pearl Hart, who held up a stagecoach to buy medicine for her dying mother, or Lola Montez, the erotic dancer with her infamous ‘Spider Dance,’ or Black Bart, the gentleman highwayman who wrote poems for the people he robbed. Others are entirely fictional. 'The Nameless One' is a cautionary tale of dabbling in the dark arts, featuring the mysterious and sinister character of the title. Elsewhere, 'Room 24', featuring KING DIAMOND, was inspired by a terrifying experience in a hotel room somewhere in the heart of America.

Volbeat return to the US for leg two of the North American tour May 1st in Boston. Direct support will be ALL THAT REMAINS, with EYE EMPIRE opening on the band's non-festival dates. In June, Outlaw Gentlemen & Shady Ladies will be released in Japan, with confirmed appearances at the major festival Summer Sonic 2013 on August 10 in Tokyo and August 11 in Osaka. Prior, the band begins a major European tour May25 in Jelling, Denmark that will travel through the UK, Eastern and Western Europe, and Scandinavia, with major festivals complimented by headline dates.
