Backstage at Bang Your Head, German guitarist and VOODOO CIRCLE mastermind Alex Beyrodt (PRIMAL FEAR) is the epitome of 70s rock star: shirtless, drink in one hand, a babe on the other arm. At least he's not developed a hatred for the press (not BW&BK;/BraveWords.com anyway).

As previous reported, he's currently working on the third VC platter, which he describes as, "Goes even more into the blues. Like (Bernie Marsden/Mickey Moody era) WHITESNAKE, when they still wrote great songs."

Alex Beyrodt recently issued a few updates from the studio, where he's currently recording the third Voodoo Circle album. Check out his comments on the guitar recordings below:

"I finished to set up my new studio. Changed to Mac (it was about time, thanks Mat). I'm thrilled and can't wait to lay down the first tracks for the new Voodoo Circle album! Life is great!"

Day 1: "Just laid down a couple of clean tracks for a wonderful mid-tempo ballad. Now changing strings and add some DIRE STRAITS clean sound..."

Day 2: "Nailed another tune, mid tempo rocker... working title: 'Cry For Love'! Heavy and melodic radio track."

Voodoo Circle also features Primal Fear bassist Mat Sinner and PINK CREAM 69 frontman David Readman. For more information on the band go to this location.
