VOODOO JOHNSON - DIAMOND HEAD Guitar Legend Brian Tatler To Guest On New Album
March 13, 2013, 11 years ago
Following on from 2010's well received album 10,000 Horses, UK heavy rockers VOODOO JOHNSON have announced their sophomore album is to be called The Hope That Killed Us All. The band have been recording at Foel Studios in Mid Wales with co-producer Gazz Rogers (ROBERT PLANT, EDITORS) and the album is currently being mixed and mastered by producer Jacob Hansen (VOLBEAT, GINGER, MERCENARY, XERATH) at Hansen Studios in Ribe, Denmark.
Guitarist Paul Gethin comments: "We're all delighted to have Jacob Hansen mix the album as I think the style he's known for will really suit the new songs. The album is a bit heavier and grittier than anything we've done before, but the hooks are still there, and there are a few surprises."
Tentatively due in the summer, the album will include single ‘Black Skies Mist’ featuring NWOBHM legend Brian Tatler of DIAMOND HEAD.
Voodoo Johnson is:
Nik Taylor-Stoakes - Vocals
Carl Gethin - Guitar
Paul Gethin - Guitar
Luke Middleton - Drums
Rich Bellamy - Bass
