WARMACHINE frontman Joe Di Taranto is featured in a new interview with Caroline Restiaux at X-Plosive Metal. An excerpt from the interview is available below:
XM: I know that the band has won an award at the TIMA (Toronto Independent Music Awards) a couple years ago, has the band won any other awards?
JD: "That is our one and only award. I think that makes it all the more special actually. It`s the first award we`ve ever won and it was a really nice surprise."
XM: What has been your biggest challenge as a band? Have you been able to overcome that challenge? If so, how?
JD: "I don`t think we`ve had any big challenges as a band really. We`ve been very fortunate throughout our career and I think that has a lot to do with the fact that we have always written music that we love and are honest about it. I think that shows in our music and when you see us on stage. I`ve always got a big smile on my face because I love what I do."
XM: I ask all bands this question, “If you could have been involved in the production, recording or writing of any album which would it be and why?”
JD: "I would have to say QUEEN's A Night At The Opera` album. That is one of my favorite records of all time and in my opinion is one of the best. From start to finish, every song on it is amazing. It`s just one of those timeless records that blows me away every time I listen to it. So that would be my choice."

As previously reported, Warmachine bassist Alberto Campuzano is now a touring member of legendary melodic thrash metal band ANNIHILATOR. He is still a member of Warmachine but will tour worldwide with Annihilator through 2010-2011. Warmachine will use a stand-in bassist for live shows during that time.
