Current WARRANT frontman Jaime St. James, spoke to Mywesttexas.com about his vocal roots which he says might be traceable to his mother who "used to sing in the church choir." Hailing from Portland, OR, St. James began playing music when he was 14. "As soon as I graduated at 17 and I had my license, I drove straight to Los Angeles. I knew that's where I needed to be to break into rock 'n' roll. I kept going back and forth until I was finally able to stay," said St. James. "It took me several years. I didn't actually move down until the very early '80s."

The members of Warrant (rounded off by guitarists Erik Turner, Joey Allen, bassist Jerry Dixon and drummer Steven Sweet are "actually thrilled to death to be playing right now," St. James said. "The band is probably better than its been in a long time. We're out there playing '80s style rock 'n' roll. I personally feel very fortunate to be in this band with four other great guys who are as dedicated and determined to do this after all these years."
