Commemorating their 25th anniversary, Virginia metallers While Heaven Wept released of their sixth full length album, Suspended At Aphelion, via Nuclear Blast on October 24th in Europe. The album will be available on November 18th in North America via Metalville Records.

Commented guitarist and songwriter Tom Phillips: “Part 9 of Suspended At Aphelion may be the most poignant point of the journey with its starkness and the acceptance of defeat - the sun forever out of reach - yet adored nonetheless. It also marks the entrance of one of my lifelong heroes and now close friend Victor Arduini, co-founder of Fates Warning, who delivers the most epic guitar solo of his life...that actually bridges Part 9 with Part 10.”

Commented Victor Arduini: “When I was asked to contribute a solo it was originally a short piece to play over. Once I began to work out the structure and harmonies I just couldn't stop. It inspired me to keep writing, keep playing to what turned out to be a 4 minute orchestral highlight of my career.”

Added Tom Phillips: “Part 10 of Suspended At Aphelion is also an insight into the future; "Lifelines Lost" is the most recent music channeled on this album - from February of this year... the counterpoint, maze of key changes, and overall scope... that is an indication of what's coming for sure. I'll actually leave the final word about Suspended At Aphelion to Victor...”

Concludes Victor Arduini: “This album accumulates all the passion, mood and expression I've embraced throughout my years of playing. There's no one description that would capture it's spectrum of influences and design. It is truly one of the epics of the 21st century.”

Suspended At Aphelion is a single track divided into 11 parts, performed by the entire Fear Of Infinity line-up as well as several esteemed guests, including Fates Warning alumni drummer Mark Zonder and co-founding guitarist Victor Arduini - uniting two eras of Fates Warning for the first time ever.

The cover art for Suspended At Aphelion was once again created by Gustavo Sazes (Morbid Angel), and three separate audio masters were optimized for LP, CD, and digital download formats.
