WINDS OF PLAGUE are set to embark on The American Uprising Tour, a lengthy summer trek that kicks off on June 27th with CATHERINE, BENEATH THE SKY, BORN OF OSIRIS and AT THE THRONE OF JUDGMENT. The group recently completed work on their much-anticipated Century Media debut offering with Daniel Castleman (AS I LAY DYING, A LOVE ENDS SUICIDE).

Johnny Plague (vocals) checks in with the following report: “After 22 long, tiring and stressful days in the studio, there is finally light at the end of the tunnel. Daniel Castleman has been awesome and has really gone above and beyond making sure this record is perfect. I also couldn't be happier with my vocal tracks.

“Oscar Cairoli (A Love Ends Suicide) has also been helping out tracking on the record, which is a real lifesaver. Oscar’s brother Jon from A Love Ends Suicide stopped by to lay down some guest vocal tracks. Other guest appearances include John Mishima of TIME FOR CHANGE and Francine Boucher of ECHOES OF ETERNITY.

“Upon completion of the album we will tour relentlessly throughout the year. The madness all kicks off with ‘The American Uprising Tour,’ which we will co-headline with Catherine. Beneath The Sky, Born Of Osiris and At The Throne Of Judgment will be in the support slots. We also have a European tour that will be announced in the near future. We look forward to seeing you all soon.”

Winds Of Plague released their debut full-length album, A Cold Day In Hell, on Recorse Records in 2005. This Los Angeles based quintet have their share of Southern CA hardcore roots running in their backyard, though the atmospheric sounds of Scandinavian black metal and classic American metal reign supreme in the bands music.
