WINDS OF PLAGUE will soon embark on The American Uprising Tour, a lengthy summer trek that kicks off on June 27th with CATHERINE and BENEATH THE SKY. BORN OF OSIRIS and AT THE THRONE OF JUDGEMENT will also join the tour a week later. The group recently completed work on their Century Media debut offering with Daniel Castleman (AS I LAY DYING, A LOVE ENDS SUICIDE).
Johnny Plague (vocals) checks in with the following report: "We're packin up the WOP camp and heading out on this two month headlining trek across North America. We can't wait for all the stage dives and high fives that await us. To let kids know what to expect at a WOP show and so they can prepare for battle we uploaded a live video of the track 'Angels Of Debauchery' onto our MySpace page (www.myspace.com/windsofplague). Check that out, see when were coming to your town and prepare to witness an uprising."
The band released their debut full-length album, A Cold Day In Hell, on Recorse Records in 2005 and spent most of the following summers and school breaks on the road touring. This Los Angeles based quintet have their share of Southern CA hardcore roots running in their backyard, though the atmospheric sounds of Scandinavian black metal and classic American metal reign supreme in the bands music.
