3 INCHES OF BLOOD Set Release Date For Fire Up The Blades; Band Joins OZZFest 2007
April 19, 2007, 17 years ago
Vancouver, BC-based heavy metal unit 3 INCHES OF BLOOD has completed work on their new album, Fire Up the Blades. The follow up to the band's 2004 release Advance And Vanquish, Fire Up The Blades will drop on June 26th, 2007 via Roadrunner Records.
The band recorded the album at Vancouver's legendary Armoury Studios (AC/DC, KISS) and Mushroom Studios (QUEENSRŸCHE) with producer Joey Jordison (SLIPKNOT) and engineer Dan Turner. Darker, tighter and more dangerous than the band's previous works, Fire Up The Blades features songs such as 'Night Marauders', 'The Goatrider’s Horde', 'Assassins Of The Light' and 'Black Spire' and is full of vivid imagery, masterful guitar acrobatics and the skyscraping vocals of Cam Pipes and Jamie Hooper that 3 Inches Of Blood is known for. A sneak peak at the cover art can be viewed at this location.
The final tracklisting: 'Through The Horned Gate', 'Night Marauders', 'The Goatrider's Horde', 'Trial Of Champions', 'God Of The Cold White Silence', 'Forest King', 'Demon's Blade', 'The Great Hall Of Feasting', 'Infinite Legions', 'Assassins Of The Light', 'Black Spire', 'The Hydra's Teeth', 'Rejoice In The Fire Of Man's Demise'.
3 Inches Of Blood will hit the road hard in support of Fire Up the Blades. The band has joined the stellar lineup of OZZFest 2007, where they will display their hard-hitting live show alongside OZZY OSBOURNE, LAMB OF GOD, LORDI, HATEBREED, NILE and many more. A full listing of upcoming 3 Inches Of Blood tour dates follows this message.
In addition to Pipes and Hooper, 3 Inches Of Blood features guitarists Shane Clark and Justin Hagberg, bassist Nick Cates and drummer Alexei Rodriguez.
