BW&BK; has received the following:

Combining aggressive and technical metal with grass-roots hardcore energy, Vancouver’s, A TEXTBOOK TRAGEDY are making big waves in the Canadian music scene. Formed in 2004, the band has spent their post high-school years relentlessly touring across North America, playing alongside some of the biggest names in heavy music including ALL THAT REMAINS, JOHNNY TRUANT, MISERY SIGNALS, THE END, ARCHITECTS, COMEBACK KID, ION DISSONANCE and DESPISED ICON.

Showcasing mature songwriting and brutally heavy instrumentals, A Textbook Tragedy’s latest release, entitled Intimidator, is by far the bands best work to date. Vocally, the album is a co-operative effort between new vocalist Chris, and guitarist Kai Turmann (who previously held all vocal duties). The dual layered vocals add a unique energy and texture to the album. Rhythmically, the album features the percussive mastery of drummer Nick Yacyshyn who has been considered one of the best young drummers in Canada.

A Textbook Tragedy recently signed to United By Fate Records in the UK. Made up of only a handful of elite acts (Johnny Truant, Architects); the band is honored to be the latest addition to the talented roster:

"We are extremely excited to be working with United by Fate. The label has done an excellent job with their previous releases from Architects and Johnny Truant. We are excited to be in such esteemed company. We look forward to reaching a new audience in the U.K. And naturally, we cannot wait to tour overseas. It has been a dream of ours since we started this band, and we are confident that this partnership with United by Fate will bring forth exciting tour opportunities in the near future. BANGERS AND MOSH tour coming your way early 2009. Get stoked."

A Textbook Tragedy's forthcoming album, Intimidator, is set to be released in the UK on October 6th via United By Fate Records.
