AC/DC Singer Brian Johnson Says He'll Be Meeting With The Young Brothers In A Couple Of Weeks To Discuss New Album

It appears the wheels are in motion for a follow-up to 2008's Black Ice, as AC/DC singer Brian Johnson spoke to San Francisco’s 107.7 The Bone about the progress of the band's long-awaited new studio album.
“I’ll be getting together with Malcolm (Young; guitar) in a couple of weeks," Johnson reveals, "and then we’re going to London to meet up with Angus (Young; guitar) hopefully. And that’s usually how we’ll start. We’re just a bunch of pals from the projects, still. Even though we’ve done well, we still have the same rules that we stick by that we did when we had nothing. And that’s the work ethic. It has to be right for the boys to do anything. When we’re sitting down and we’re talking about, ‘Can we do this? We’re not gonna be a pale shadow of our former selves?’ We’ll talk about it and make sure that we’ve all got it.”About hitting the road in support of the album, Johnson continues; "I think it wouldn’t be like the last one. That was two years. I mean, that was just nuts.”

As previously mentioned by guitarist Malcolm Young, the new AC/DC will be a little while – a year or two anyway.
