KISS On Fire are reporting that according to Wikipedia, KISS guitar legend ACE FREHLEY's upcoming album, Anomaly, will feature the following tracklisting: 'Pain In The Neck', 'A Little Below The Angels', 'Genghis Khan', 'Change The World', 'The King Is Kong', '(You Make It) Hard For Me' (Frehley, Sebastian Bach), 'Fractured Quantum' (Instrumental), 'Steamroller', 'The Pursuit Of Rock 'N' Roll', 'Sister', 'Too Many Faces', 'Skels', 'Hard For You', 'It's A Great Life', 'Laurado', 'Outer Space' (Frehley, Askew, Mendez).
Earlier this month, Ace announced: "I'm proud to present to you The Year of the Anomaly. As promised, here is the cover art of my new album, Anomaly. And thanks again for your patience..."
A release date has not yet been announced, although Anomaly is expected to drop in the spring.
With respect to the songs on Anomaly, Frehley told BW&BK; recently: “There’s a heavy rocker called ‘Pain In The Neck’. And actually, I wrote this song called ‘A Little Below The Angels’. That’s a bit more of a commercial one, with a catchy hook. There’s another song called ‘Genghis Khan’, which is kind of like, if I had to categorize it, it’s maybe a little like ‘Kashmir’ from LED ZEPPELIN, a slower kind of grooving track with a good melody. There’s a slower track, which also has a kind of commercial… you know, the word commercial has changed. It’s called ‘Change The World’, which is an interesting kind of track, probably different from anything I’ve ever done. In fact it is different from anything I’ve ever done. You know, I think people are going to dig it. It’s slower, something you could imagine hearing on the radio. My bass player Anthony Esposito, he’s been helping me with the record from the beginning. He is playing bass on all the tracks so far. Anton Fig is playing drums on most of the tracks. I’ve got my touring drummer Scot Coogan; he’s going to be on a couple of tracks on the record. And I don’t think I mentioned Derrek Hawkins, the other guitar player.”
In other news, BW&BK; recently received the following:
"The Ace To Space Team is pleased to announce that after 10 months of research and development, we have been given the “green light” to pursue our mission to put legendary KISS founding member Ace Frehley, known as “The Spaceman”, into outer space where he will become the first musician to go into, perform in, record in, and broadcast a live performance from outer space. We have chosen VH1 to document this mission from the ground up and yesterday, Jeff Olde, VH1 Executive Vice President, Original Programming and Production, was given the latest top secret details regarding this mission.
The Ace to Space Project is a strategic, multi-national consortium started in February 2008.
Exploratory discussions with a group of key players in both the private and pubic sectors provided enough indicators of probability that the Team began to actively, and officially, attempt to put Ace Frehley into space.
In March 2008, the website along with the myspace page was first launched to get a sense of worldwide fan support.
After one week, emails were coming in at a rate of 300 per day. By the 4th week emails were coming in at a rate of 450-500 per day."
