Swedish metal masters ARCH ENEMY have just returned from their first Asian tour in support Rise Of The Tyrant. The band headlined extremely successful shows in Japan, supported by SHADOWS FALL and JOB FOR A COWBOY, Taiwan as well as Korea, and even recorded their show in Tokyo for a future DVD release.

Angela Gossow (vocals) reports: “We are back from the Tyrants Of The Rising Sun Asia tour - and it was a fantastic experience! Kawasaki, Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka in Japan, then on to Taipei, Taiwan - where we played for the first time ever… And then on to beautiful and vibrant Seoul, where we haven’t played before either. What a trip!"

While on tour in Japan, Arch Enemy also received several trophies from Japan’s leading magazine BURRN! For winning their 2007 polls in the following categories: “Best Group”, “Best Guitarist” (Michael Amott), “Best Drummer” (Daniel Erlandsson), “Best Album” (“Rise Of The Tyrant”) and “Best Songwriter” (Michael Amott). Additionally, Arch Enemy have recently been nominated by UK’s Metal Hammer magazine for their upcoming “Golden Gods” awards in the categories “Best Live Band” as well as “Best Shredder” (Michael Amott).

Arch Enemy are imminently set to continue their relentless live-campaign around the globe and Angela Gossow comments on the upcoming shows as follows: “We will hit the road again mid April to bring some pure fucking metal to Europe, including Russia (for the first time) and then team up with our friends from OPETH to kick off the Defenders Of The Faith tour in the UK. Afterwards we will march on to the US to join forces with DARK TRANQUILLITY, DIVINE HERESY and FIREWIND to bring the Tyranny And Bloodshred to our fans there! Exciting times and all killer line-ups.
