hot flashes news arch enemy

ARCH ENEMY have just played the last show of their Latin American Revolution Tour and guitarist Michael Amott has checked in with a little tour report:

“We’ve had an amazing run of shows down here in South America. We’ve played Venezuela and Colombia for the first time with Arch Enemy and it’s been really killer playing for the fans there, these people live and breathe Metal... It’s inspiring! Also returning to Brazil and Argentina again has been great, the fans in this part of the world are so intense, they’re almost louder than the PA... it’s so much fun!

The May 8th Mexico show has been postponed due to the flu chaos and the restrictions that have been put on shows in Mexico over the days/weeks. We are obviously not happy about this - but it is out of our hands. We are looking at quickly re-scheduling the show and return to Mexico in August. The 2,500 tickets sold for the Mexico show are valid for the new date - so hold on to them!”

Furthermore, the band’s first Century Media releases Stigmata and Burning Bridges will be reissued in Europe on May 25th, 2009 featuring new layouts, additional slipcase packaging, multiple bonus-tracks (including live tracks from Japan featuring former vocalist Johan Liiva) and much more.

Michael Amott comments as follows: "I recently worked with the Century Media team on putting the re-issues of Stigmata (1998) and Burning Bridges (1999) together. There’s a bunch of cool bonus tracks on both albums, plus track-by-track commentary from myself and liner notes from ex-vocalist Johan Liiva. These re-issues came out just right and I hope the Arch Enemy die-hards, as well as newcomers will dig checking them out!"

Stigmata (reissue): ‘Beast Of Man’, ‘Stigmata’, ‘Sinister Mephisto’, ‘Dark Of The Sun’, ‘Let The Killing Begin’, ‘Black Earth’, ‘Tears Of The Dead’, ‘Vox Stellarum’, ‘Bridge Of Destiny’. Bonus tracks: ‘Hydra’, ‘Diva Satanica’, ‘Damnation’s Way’, ‘Diva Satanica’ (live), ‘Beast Of Man’ (live), ‘Bass Intro’ / ‘Tears Of The Dead’ (live), ‘Bridge Of Destiny’ (live).

Burning Bridges (reissue): ‘The Immortal’, ‘Dead Inside’, ‘Pilgrim’, ‘Silverwing’, ‘Demonic Science’, ‘Seed Of Hate’, ‘Angelclaw’, ‘Burning Bridges’. Bonus tracks: ‘Fields Of Desolation’, ‘Star Breaker’, ‘Aces High’, ‘Scream Of Anger’, ‘The Immortal’ (live), ‘Dead Inside’ (live), ‘Pilgrim’ (live), ‘Silverwing’ (live), ‘Angelclaw’ (live).

In related news, Michael Amott presents his new line of Dean signature guitars, which will be available through Dean dealers as of June 2009. For detailed info go to this location.
