ARMED FOR APOCALYPSE is kicking off a West Coast tour in support of their sophomore album titled The Road Will End, available on July 23rd. The tour will be supported by metal-tinged, neo-noir duo LA FIN ABSOLUTE DU MONDE, and doom rockers DEATH VALLEY HIGH.
The Armed For Absolute Death: Unleash The Underground Titans tour includes seven initial shows, starting on June 25th, in Redding, CA, then moving into the northwest, and ending on July 1st, in Sparks, NV. Additional dates throughout Southern California will be announced shortly.
Armed For Apocalypse's The Road Will End offers up a complex study in heaviness. One-finger chords and single-string riffs, complicated by sophisticated voicing and even an occasional solo.
“This is our best work so far, just full of riffs, so we're excited to get out and play the new songs for our fans,” said vocalist/guitarist Kirk Williams.La Fin Absolute Du Monde have been busy supporting their latest EP, Descend, first with a UK tour earlier in the year, and then a recent US trek through the east coast and midwest.
“It will be nice to be back on the West Coast, and we're excited to play with our friends in Armed for Apocalypse and Death Valley High,” said guitarist Jason Myles.
Death Valley High is also supporting their new album, titled Positive Euth, which offers new, deeper shades of doom pop.
“With Positive Euth, we turned everything up a notch,” explains Reyka Osburn, singer and guitar player for Death Valley High. “So, we can't wait to pound the West Coast pavement with these new songs before heading off to Europe.”
