US war metal legends AT WAR will be entering Pyramid Studios on January 4th 2009 to start recording their first album in 20 years, entitled Infidel. Engineering the album will be Alex Perialas best known for his work during the golden age of thrash by engineering such benchmark albums by ANTHRAX, TESTAMENT, OVERKILL, NUCLEAR ASSAULT and S.O.D., amongst others.

Formed in 1983 by guitarist Shawn Helsel, bassist and vocalist Paul Arnold and drummer Dave Stone, At War went on to solidify themselves as one premier metal bands in the American underground.

After the reviews and college radio play of their 1985 demo Eat Lead, At War went on to release their albums Ordered To Kill (1986) and Retaliatory Strike (1987) for New Renaissance Records.

A follow up to Retaliatory Strike was recorded in 1994 but ultimately scrapped which prompted At War to go on an indefinite hiatus only to have the beast awaken from its slumber in 2006 to begin working the material that would become Infidel.

After a succession of triumphant return performances throughout the US and Europe in 2008 At War signed with New York's Heavy Artillery Records for the release of Infidel, their first studio album in 20 years.
