New Jersey power metallers ATTACKER will enter the studio on Septermber 8th to begin recording their as-yet-untitled new album, due for a early 2013 release. The album will feature recently recruited Bobby "Leatherlungs" Lucas (SEVEN WITCHES, OVERLORDE, MORBID SIN) as its new vocalist. The recordings will also debut bassist Jon Hanemann, replacing original bassist Lou Ciarlo, who departed the band in April.
The band recently posted a a seven-minute video clip featuring snippets of several songs which will be featured on the new album. The tracks were recorded live at the group's rehearsal studio on July 29th.
Commented drummer Mike Sabatini on the recording: "Since we have not had a lot to share lately, we figured, why not put some stuff up so people who are interested can see what we have been up to for the last few months? It also features for the first time on any recording our new bassist Jon Hanemann. Check it out!"
In early April, the band layed down vocals for the track ‘Steel Vengeance’, formerly known as ‘Condemned’. The song has never officially been on any Attacker album but was released as an extremely limited quantity single for the band's 2008 Keep It True X Festival performance. The single is available now at this location. The track will also be available worldwide at all digital outlets in the coming weeks.
